Multiple Democratic Socialists of America leaders endorse Communism

Posted on July 1, 2018 in The Extreme Left

The Democratic Socialists of America recently got a major boost when one of their endorsed candidates, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, beat out incumbent Democrat Rep. Joe Crowley in a primary last Tuesday for New York’s 14th Congressional District.

This far-left political organization previously made headlines when leadership from their Iowa State campus chapter encouraged people to shoot president Trump and when leadership from their University of Georgia Chapter called for the execution of house GOP members. Now multiple DSA leaders are publicly endorsing communism, an ideology responsible or the oppression, incarceration, and murder of tens of millions of people.

Here is the original tweet from Olivia Katbi Smith, who is the co-Chair of the Portland DSA chapter:

Shortly after, other DSA leaders weighed in with their endorsement of communism.

The Charlottesville DSA co-chair:

The Hudson County DSA co-chair:

The Seattle DSA co-chair:

An Officer for the Queens DSA chapter:

Since her win, legacy media has rolled out the red carpet for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and for “democratic socialism”. She has done interview after interview after interview and appears to be starting her “late night comedy” circuit but for some reason, her affiliation with an organization whose members have openly called for the murder of their political opposition and who are now endorsing a violent authoritarian ideology has not been brought into question. Why is that? Could you imagine a Republican winning a primary and being endorsed by an organization whose members advocated for the murder of Democrats and whose leadership said “Nazism is good”? How differently would that play out?

NYC Antifa group hosts pro-terrorism documentary screening

Posted on May 24, 2018 in The Extreme Left

Antifa groups are not shy about their support for terrorism. They openly engage in targeted, premeditated, political violence; and in many cases do so with the full support of the media. Within the larger “antifa” umbrella there are multiple cells with different names, organizational structures, and stated goals; ex. “Anti-Racist Action, Redneck Revolt, Red Guards, etc. One particular group that we have reported on in depth is the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement (RAM)This organization, which is heavily armed and currently has at least four active cells, is even more militant than your run-of-the-mill antifa group. They have hosted “Our Enemies in Blue” anti-police workshops, coordinated a national “Destroy Columbus Day” event, and openly supported international communist militia groups.

This Saturday, the far-left extremist group will be hosting a documentary screening titled “We Need to Take Guns” which details the work of the International Freedom Battalion (IFB) and discusses strategy and tactics for “revolutionary internationalism”. In the trailer for this documentary; armed, masked communist fighters encourage people to “build self-defense organizations” and say that “whether it is here today in Rojava against the fascists, or in factories in France against the bosses we encourage everyone to organize and we know that one day or another, we will defeat them”.

The International Freedom Battalion is a coalition of mostly Marxist-Leninist, communist militia groups fighting in Syria. To their credit, they are actively fighting the Islamic Supremacists of ISIS but that does not negate the fact that they wish to replace one murderous, authoritarian ideology with another.

With each passing month the violent rhetoric and actions from the far-left becomes more extreme. These armed antifa cells have escalated from simply offering verbal support and solidarity with these international terrorist groups to actively learning how to apply those same terrorist strategies domestically.

White Privilege Conference features Professor who said free speech is “white supremacy”

Posted on May 14, 2018 in The Extreme Left

Ryerson University, a state funded university in Canada, recently hosted a multi-day “White Privilege Conference“. What was the purpose of this state funded conference? According to Dr. Denise O’neil Green, the Vice-President of Equity and Community Inclusion, the goal of the conference was to:

“…bring a myriad of voices to the table so that we can have honest conversations and overcome these obstacles together. This is an inclusive event rooted in the desire to uplift people from all walks of life, and we welcome diverse perspectives so that our solutions are representative of our society…”

So what kind of curriculum were Canadian tax dollars being spent on? In addition to an “Aboriginal Art Tour”, an “Indigenous Walking Tour”, and a Youth Program designed to teach students in grades 6 through 12 how to “dismantle white supremacy, white privilege and other forms of oppression in their communities”, the conference also consisted of multiple lectures and breakout sessions with titles like “Combating Systemic Racism in School Mathematics” and “White People: From Origins in North America to a Global Norm”. One of the keynote speakers at this conference was Rinaldo Walcott, who is the Director of the Women & Gender Studies Institute at the University of Toronto. When we saw he was a featured speaker we thought his name was familiar. It turns out he is the same professor who said that free speech and academic freedom are “white supremacist speech”. We shared this screenshot of his tweet shortly after he appeared on a televised panel discussing the “Jordan Peterson Incident” at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Here are a few other tweets from him with that same theme:

The great irony is that this Professor who claims that “universities are white supremacists institutions” is giving a keynote speech at a multi-day “White Privilege Conference” at a state funded university. Walcott is just one of many Professors who use their position and influence in academia to advance an ideology that only views the world through the lens of “victim vs. oppressor”, and like many other far-left Professors, the criteria he uses to define “white supremacy” appears to get broader by the day.

Kansas City Antifa group brags about assaulting police officers

Posted on May 8, 2018 in The Extreme Left

An antifa cell in Kansas City called the Red Guards Kansas City recently published a report on their blog detailing their May Day 2018 activities. As was typical for many antifa groups who participated in May Day, this cell masked up and marched through the streets waving communist flags and carrying a large banner honoring the legacy of communist dictators who butchered tens of millions of people in the 20th century.

We previously reported on this same cell holding armed demonstrations and advocating for political violence but here are some additional pictures from their Facebook page:

What makes this particular May Day event unique are four distinct factors:

1. According to their report, at least one of the antifa members was armed:

“In very short order, more than five cop cars were following us, with more on the way. They did not wait long after we had refused their warnings to take action. Although they profess to be protecting public safety and enforcing the law, their first actions were to block the entire street and snatch up a comrade who was exercising his right to open carry.”

2. According to their report, they physically attacked the arresting officers

The pigs blows did not go unanswered however. Communists have every right to defend their comrades when they are being attacked by foot soliders of the oppressive state apparatus, and during the clashes anonymous rebels were able to land hits on the pigs, before retreating back into the group.

3: According to their Facebook page, five members were arrested that day:

4. None of this was covered in the media.

So armed, masked, far-left extremists marched through the streets while praising a political ideology whose adherents have killed tens of millions of people. When confronted by the police, members of this group attacked officers and were taken into custody. In spite of ALL OF  THAT,  we could not find any media coverage of these arrests. Why do you think that is?

Anyway, if you are a Kansas City resident or a concerned citizen interested in creating a safer society, please contact the Kansas City Police Department and let them know that the antifa activists they arrested on May 1st published a blog in which they brag that they were able to “land hits on the pigs”. If you email the department, make sure to include this archived version of the antifa group’s blog post.

Antifa group hangs Trump effigy, calls for “military action” against conservatives

Posted on May 2, 2018 in The Extreme Left

Every year on May 1st, hundreds of thousands of leftists all over the world mobilize for “International Worker’s Day”. While this opportunity is used by many to advocate for every cause on the intersectional social justice spectrum, (feminism, LGBT rights, immigrant rights, anti-Islamophobia, etc.) the main theme is a celebration of communism. It’s not uncommon to see people marching through the streets waving flags with the hammer and sickle, carrying banners glorifying mass murdering dictators, vandalizing and firebombing buildings, or openly advocating for murder.

2018 was no exception. Here are just some of the pictures from this year:

While violent antifa extremists in Paris firebombed businesses and torched police cruisers, the May Day activities were surprisingly mild in the US. Outside of some police cruisers being vandalized and the arrest of three Red Guards members in Charlotte, most May Day protesters opted to peacefully demand a larger more authoritarian state. Although criminal activity was surprisingly low this year, the violent rhetoric from militant antifa groups absolutely escalated. The Los Angeles cell of the Red Guards celebrated the holiday by organizing a small march, hanging a Trump Effigy, and giving a speech that they then published to their blog.

Here are some key quotes from that speech.

They open by declaring their solidarity with the other Maosist Red Guards cells who are working to replicate the work of the communist dictator, Mao Zedong, who murdered tens of millions of people:

“We stand in solidarity with the Red Guards and principally Maoist collectives who are working towards the creation of the Maoist Party. We stand in solidarity with Maoist parties across the world who are committed to building socialism and fighting revisionism through People’s War!”

Here they make it clear that they seek to militarize the masses and create an army:

“What needs to be done is the concentric construction of the three weapons of revolution: the Maoist Party, the Maoist People’s Army, and the Maoist United Front. What needs to be done is to militarize the masses and all the pre-Party Maoist formations!”

Here they openly call for “military actions” against their enemies (basically anyone who is not a communist):

“We must prepare today, yesterday and tomorrow for the prolong confrontation, the protracted war, against the capitalist state. We must carry out military actions against the enemies of the people!”

They then declare war on a bunch of different groups of people and follow that up with several quotes about how they are committed to revolutionary violence:

  1. “Our country’s working class knows only two roads: barbarism or socialism. And both require violence but only in the latter is that violence revolutionary and mastered by the proletariat, its Party and the masses.”
  2. Our task is clear: only through revolutionary violence can the masses create real political power!
  3. The masses are fighting back and we will guide them toward victory through revolutionary violence and warfare!

So just to recap; this communist militia group:

  • openly supports a communist dictator who brutally killed millions of people
  • openly advocates for targeted political violence against their enemies
  • and openly encourages armed insurrection against the U.S. government

With the information we have provided there should be zero doubt that the Red Guards constitute a legitimate security concern not only to the citizens of Los Angeles but to the general public as well. Considering that just under a year ago a far-left extremist opened fire on a GOP Congressional baseball practice game, I sincerely hope our reporting results in an investigation by the authorities. Here is how you can take just a few minutes and help us make sure that happens:

Action Plan:

  1. Submit a tip to the FBI. Make sure to include this archived version of the document outlined above as well as the link to our full report.
  2. Call the FBI’s Los Angeles field office at (310) 477-6565 and make sure they know there is an LA based extremist group openly advocating for political violence.
  3. Share this article, use the hashtag #InvestigateAntifa and tag @FBILosAngeles

Armed antifa group to hold “Revolutionary Tribunal” for Professor accused of sexual assault

Posted on April 29, 2018 in The Extreme Left

Robert Reece is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Texas at Austin who recently wrote an article for Vox in which he discussed the gray areas of sexual encounters. Shortly after this article was published one of Reece’s former partners, Jazmine M. Walker, a Washington D.C.-based reproductive rights activist, shared multiple tweets about her relationship with Reece alleging emotional abuse and even rape.

According to Reece’s bio, his scope of work looks fairly similar to many Professors in the social justice wing of academia; his listed public work includes topics like “Class Struggle is Race Struggle in U.S.”, “How My Social Justice Failed My Family.”, “Moving beyond metrics: a primer for hiring and promoting a diverse workforce in entomology and other natural sciences.”, etc.  Additionally he appears to have some affiliations with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). He has contributed multiple articles for their Teaching Tolerance program and recently obtained an advisory board position at 500 Pens which is anti-hate social justice organization that lists the SPLC as it’s founding partner.

In the aftermath of these allegations, the far-left extremist group, Revolutionary Student Front has already declared him guilty and is now planning to hold a “People’s Trial” against him.

Not surprisingly, the image they chose to use for their corresponding Facebook event is an iconic image from the Chinese Cultural Revolution; a purge by the communist Dictator Mao Zedong in which millions of people were persecuted and suffered a wide range of abuses including public humiliation, arbitrary imprisonment, torture, hard labor, sustained harassment, seizure of property and even public execution.

So let’s unpack their blog post announcing this “People’s Trial”.

They begin by recapping the “success story” of their previous campaign in which they doxed, harassed, threatened, and encouraged people to kill another Professor who had been previously charged with domestic violence. After weeks of escalating their tactics this professor was found dead in his home most likely as a result of suicide.

“On March 26, shortly after his ex outed him as an abuser on social media, we began a campaign to raise students’ awareness of Reece’s crimes and begin to ramp up public pressure on him, following the same path we recently took in the campaign against now-deceased serial abuser Professor Richard Morrisett. Before the allegations of rape and abuse against him surfaced, Reece saw the campaign against his colleague Morrisett taken up. Morrisett was subjected to posters strewn across campus depicting his mugshot, crimes, phone number, and home address. These postings were followed several acts of propaganda actions naming him and warning him to leave campus as well as a protest outside of the building he worked at. This campaign crescendoed when anonymous students filled the Littlefield Fountain with red dye in the early hours of International Working Women’s Day, and cut off early when he was found dead in his home, by accident, nature, or most likely: his own doing.”

Here are pictures from their social media accounts detailing the escalation:

They then make the claim that rape and abuse are the product of a “patriarchal capitalist disease” and can only be cured by “transforming an abusive man in power into a proletarian feminist” aka joining their Maoist cult. They then outline the steps of this Tribunal and transformation process that concluded with giving him two choices.

1. Join their Maoist cult
2. Have his career destroyed and personal safety jeaporadized

“The first step of this process will begin with a public People’s Trial on Thursday, May 3 at 6 PM to be held on the steps on the UT Tower overlooking the Main Mall. This trial will be a chance for the student body to formally pass its judgment on Reece’s actions and to unleash their full rage, confronting Reece with the pressure necessary to make him realize the gravity of his actions and the need for a change. The evidence of his crimes will be presented, deliberated by a jury of students, and the verdict will be rendered by a tribunal of women revolutionaries. Reece will be allowed the opportunity to decide if he will choose to undergo the process of transformation or instead choose to let his personal situation fall even further than it already has through a campaign that will aim to end his career at the University of Texas and any other universities permanently.”

And finally, they make it clear that should he not show, his absence will confirm his guilt and he will be targeted with harassment, threats, and violence:

“Regardless of whether or not he appears, the People’s Trial will be held, and his absence would be marked as the public admission of guilt and refusal to rectify. His refusal to appear only means offering the students an opportunity to meet and begin three months of plans to organize for the campaign to force him off of campus when he returns in the fall.”

Is Professor Reece guilty of the crimes which he as been accused? Perhaps, but that should be determined in a court of law. Far-left extremist groups like this view things like due process as legal impediments to their ability to re-educate or expel undesirables from their “utopian” society.

Qatari state run media produces pro-Antifa documentary

Posted on April 4, 2018 in The Extreme Left

Qatari state run media network, Al Jazeera, recently produced a 25 minute documentary about antifa titled This is Antifa: Behind the mask of the US anti-fascist movement. In this documentary they interview antifa activists from Berkeley, Portland, and Seattle as well as left-wing journalists and intellectuals. For the opposing perspective they only speak to Joey Gibson from the right wing group, Patriot Prayer.

This documentary highlights several critical examples of violence from the far-right but fails to apply that same level of scrutiny to antifa. There is no mention of instances where antifa has violently assaulted and hospitalized completely peaceful people; there is no mention of their proclivity towards violent authoritarian ideologies like communism; and there is no critique of how the parameters they use to define labels like “fascist” or “nazi” consistently continue to widen.

Fault Lines, which is the Al Jazeera TV series that produced this documentary, started airing in 2009 with the goal to examine the US’ role in the world. As you can see from their previous episodes, they have a clear anti-Trump ideological bias.

fault lines

This documentary is an unsurprising continuation of Qatar’s blatant hypocrisy. Qatar has a terrible human rights record. Like many Islamic majority countries, their citizens are subjected to oppressive Islamic law. Women are legally obligated to obey their husbands and Qatari law does not criminalize domestic violence or marital rape. Homosexuality, however, is illegal and carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison. Blasphemy is illegal and carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison. Apostasy is illegal and carries a penalty of death. Women, the LGBT community, and religious minorities are ACTUALLY victimized by institutional bigotry in Qatar.

Meanwhile, their state run propaganda mouthpieces, Al Jazzera (AJ+, Fault Lines, etc.) all paints the United States and specifically Trump supporters as a backwards, hateful, bigots. Their twitter and Facebook accounts collectively have over 26 million followers and are routinely referenced by far-left activists. So why is a country that openly oppresses their own minority groups simultaneously championing the cause of far-left groups who allegedly fight to end this type of oppression?

Antifa site praises the work of convicted terrorist bomber

Posted on March 25, 2018 in The Extreme Left

If you lived through the 70’s and early 80’s, the news about the recent string of tragic bombings in Austin may not have been as alarming to you. According to an excerpt from Bryan Burroughs bookDays of Rage: America’s Radical Underground, the FBI, and the Forgotten Age of Revolutionary Violence, which details 15 years of far-left terrorism; “During an eighteen-month period in 1971 and 1972, the FBI reported more than 2,500 bombings on U.S. soil, nearly five a day.”

According to a data visualization website that tracks terrorist attacks sourced from the Global Terrorism Database (GTD); here are some stats on a few of the key far-left terrorist groups responsible for domestic bombing campaigns during that 15 year period:

Weather Underground Organization

Weather Underground Organization / Weathermen, abbreviated as WUO, is a terrorist organization that was founded in 1970 in United States.

  • This group was active for 5 years years, from 1970 to 1975.
  • This group is also known as Action Faction and Weather Underground.
  • This group is responsible for at least 42 attacks.
  • None of those killed by this group were United States citizens.

Black Liberation Army

Black Liberation Army is a terrorist organization that was founded in 1970 in United States.

  • This group was active for 14 years years, from 1970 to 1984.
  • This group is also known as Afro American Liberation Army.
  • This group is responsible for at least 28 attacks.
  • This group is responsible for the deaths of at least 17 people.
  • Of those killed by this group, 6 were United States citizens.

New World liberation Front

New World Liberation Front, abbreviated as NWLF, is a terrorist organization that was founded in 1970 in United States.

  • This group was active for 8 years years, from 1970 to 1978.
  • This group is responsible for at least 85 attacks.
  • None of those killed by this group were United States citizens

United Freedom Front

United Freedom Front, abbreviated as UFF, is a terrorist organization that was founded in 1975 in United States.

  • This group was active for 9 years years, from 1975 to 1984.
  • This group is also known as Armed Resistance Unit.
  • This group is responsible for at least 22 attacks.
  • None of those killed by this group were United States citizens.

It’s Going Down, which is a central antifa platform used for the recruitment, radicalization, and mobilization of far-left extremists; recently shared an interview with one of the founders of the United Freedom Front, Ray Luc Levasseur. In their post he is referred to as a “revolutionary” and a “former political prisoner”, but who is he really? Levasseur is a convicted terrorist who spent nearly 20 years in federal prison as a result of a series of bombings and robberies carried out by his Marxist terrorist organization.

The far-left claims to have the moral high ground but they have a long bloody history of domestic terrorism. Just because their terrorists get positions in academia and access to the white house does not change the fact that they are the baddies.

The mission of Far Left Watch is to investigate, expose, and combat far-left extremism. Please share this article via Twitter, Facebook, etc. and encourage friendly media and YouTube content creators to report on this information.
